Anxious For Nothing
“Anxious For Nothing” follows one person’s honest wrestling with anxiety — from sleepless three a.m. hours running numbers on a life they can’t control, through the gap between knowing Scripture and actually believing it, into the decision to cast that anxiety onto God rather than carry it alone. The chorus names the practice directly: laying down every request, every fear, every crown, and opening hands to receive a peace that transcends what we understand. The second verse widens the lens to Scripture’s own witness — birds fed without ever hoarding, the fall in Genesis 3 as the root of human fear, and the apostle Paul’s own honest confession of “conflicts without and fears within.” The bridge lands on contentment as something learned and practiced daily, not a single moment of arrival. It’s a song for anyone who has ever felt like their anxiety disqualified them from a “spiritual” life — and discovers instead that the invitation was always to bring the fear to God, honestly and repeatedly, rather than pretend it away.
"Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God."
A song for the road you're on.
