Song
Father of Lies
“Father of Lies” traces the enemy’s oldest playbook from opening question to final unmasking. It begins with a small, reasonable-sounding doubt (“did God really say”), moves through disguise (“he’ll quote you scripture, he’ll wear a crown... an angel of light till the mask falls down”), and names the source directly (“there’s no truth in the enemy”). The song then turns from diagnosis to answer: grace already paid the debt accusation tries to reopen, the roaring lion is loud but already chained, and the cross already settled the score in a public, decisive victory. It closes on settled confidence — “I know the truth, and I know it’s mine” — truth held not as borrowed information but as something possessed through belonging to the One who is the truth.
"When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it."
A song for the road you're on.
